‘Participating’ is a bit of an understatement – he’s flying! Look at that height! Neat angle, the way he’s in mid-rotation like that. Also I love the contrast between the black dancer and the white, bright background.

Prix de Lausanne 2013
Oh man, do I have a weakness for the Prix de Lausanne. This pose doesn’t even look humanly possible – his legs look like licorice! So many lines in those arms too.
I think this dancer is is Brazilian Adhonay Silva.
No idea what’s going on here, but uuuugh I have a weak spot for men en pointe. The A framing of his long legs, the curve of his feet, the contraction of his muscles… c’est tout fantastique.
Stéphane Haffner
I am furious I can’t come up with a good description for this… just god fuckin’ damn.
Stéphane Haffner is a French Italian who performed gymnastics until he was 17, then got into street performing. He later entered circus school and became an acrobat. Not a dancer! but an exemplification of masculinity none the less. What a prize.
